The oceanographic RV Dallaporta, operated by CNR, carries out advanced studies in the field of scientific fishing, marine biology and the marine environment in general, has a length of 35 meters and reaches a maximum speed of 14 knots. The ship, capable of accommodating up to 8 crew members and 12 researchers, has on board all the most modern scientific and dashboard equipment for the study of sea fishing and marine environmental conditions: depth sounders of various frequencies, eco-integrator, torque meter, underwater camera, "CTD" probe equipped with numerous sensors for measuring various environmental parameters, "Rosette Multisempler" for taking samples of sea water at various depths, current meters, winches for fishing and other equipment.
