IOI Training Programmes on Ocean Governance Globally

With more than 35-years experience in developing, conducting and managing training and capacity building programmes in Ocean Governance, IOI training offered today includes:
- International Course/Training Programmes:
- Ocean Governance: Policy, Law and Management, offered by IOI in Canada at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
- Post Graduate Degree: Master of Arts in Ocean Governance, offered by the University of Malta in collaboration with the IOI in Malta.
- Regional Programmes:
- Training Programme on Regional Ocean Governance for the Mediterranean, Black, Baltic & Caspian Seas, offered by IOI in Malta.
- Ocean Governance Training Programme for Africa, offered by IOI in Cape Town, South Africa.
- Training Programme on the Sustainable Development and Governance of the Caspian Sea, organised by the IOI in partnership with our Training Partner - the State Enterprise on Caspian Sea Issues at the President of Turkmenistan and at their behest.
- Training Programme on Ocean Governance for the Western Pacific Region, organised by the IOI in partnership with our Training Partner - the State Oceanic Administration of PR China.
- Training Programme on Regional Ocean Governance Framework, Implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) and its Related Instruments in the Southeast Asian Seas and the Indian Ocean, offered by IOI-Thailand.
- Training Programme on Ocean Governance, Ocean Sciences and Geoethics, offered by IOI-Brazil (SWAO) and IOI-Costa Rica, in Latin America & the Caribbean countries.

The ocean governance content covers contemporary approaches to coastal and ocean management, with an emphasis on moral, ethical and legal values (equity and peaceful uses of the ocean) under the governance architecture of UNCLOS and related international instruments and agreements.
